Does it seem to be running cool? V70-XC70 1998

Your coolant temp sensor should be located somewhere under yout intake manifold towars the front of the engine.I've experienced a similar problem whereas the sensor being bad cause my idle to "suck" when the car was cold (30 deg f and lower.)When the the coolant temp rose,the idle improved.So if you have'nt done so already,replace the coolant temp sensor.
