Towing with S80, Need Advice

Do any of you have any opinions on towing a trailer with an S80? I presently use a '91 240 with stick shift and 114 HP. It does OK at 65 mph in 4th gear at 3000 rpm and gets 18 mpg with the trailer. The trailer has a lot of wind resistance but is only 1100 pounds. I want to tow at 70-75 for long distances. I would have no doubts about a 960 or S90 with auto trans, but they are getting old now. My concern is for the auto trans in the S80, since it uses a different trans than other FWD Volvos. I am afraid it may be weak. Fluid temps are not a concern since it has a lockup, right?

Thanks,
