ABS, TRACS lights - New owner of 98 S70 T5 S70 1998

I purchased a 98 S70 T5 auto today with 86K miles. I have owned a 95 850 Turbo and performed oil changes, brake pads, cd changer install, etc on it, so I am somehat familiar with the basics. I want to do all the service on this too, short of the really tough stuff.

I pulled in the driveway in my "new" S70 T5, and upon restart, got an ABS and TRACS light that disappear and reappear. Nice for the first hour of ownership, huh? Three test drives and a THOROUGH evaluation did not reveal a problem before I bought it. I want to beleive it is a simple loose sensor, but I don't know where to look. Any advice?

I see a lot of posts saying "read the codes." How? Will Advance Auto or AutoZone scan them? I am over an hour from a Volvo dealer, and I hate the thought of going to one at all.

Is there a Haynes manual for the S70? I have seen 850 manuals I think.
Is there a source for a set of Volvo owners manuals, because I got NONE with the car. I know the car has been maintained well, and there are dealer stickers indicating timing belt replacement, etc. But I would like some books.

This car will run like a scalded dog. I can punch it at 10-15 mph and squeal the michelins for several feet... Faster than my old 850!!!

THANKS.
