SRS-AIRBAG SERVICE URGENT S80 1999

Hi,

I recently had the above message appear. The local dealer diagnosed the fault as being with the passenger airbag. I don't have a passenger airbag!!

He offered (and I accepted) to reset the light but would not guarantee that it would not come on again. When I collected the car everything was OK, but it's come back on again.

He now says I need a new ECU. Is he correct? This thing costs a fortune and I want reassurance that this is true before I spend this money.

What are your experiences?

Any comments would be very much appreciated.

Fred.
