service indicator V70-XC70

On this website i've found 2 options how to stop the service indicator. I've tried it on my V70 1997 (Dutch car)

Turn key in position 1, Press reset button from the board computer (or trip meter), Turn key to position 2, wait until service indicator starts blinking, Then release the button. Next time when the car starts, the service indicator won't apear.

Turn key to positon 1, Press reset button board computer (tripmeter), Turn 3 times to position 2, release button. Next time when the car starts, the service indicator won't apear.

Both methods don't work, Are thes methods ment for US cars? Is there an other method for european (dutch) cars?
