OK, I found out a little more S70 1999

but could still use some help

the volvo changer can be ordered for $200, which means no adapter cable from one of the nifty sponsors of the 'board here

the cheapest I can find the alpine for is $180 plus $50 for an adapter bringing it up to $230 to purchase.

I've read almost every post about changers here, and I know my car is prewired. I'm going to email the folks at volvoworld about whether or not the changer comes with the bracket to mount it (they list install kits for about 80-100 but I think I'd be buying acable I don't need, all I want is the bracket)

I've also seen aftermarket units (been visiting crutchfield) and SC816 units on Ebay - and my question here is does anyone know how they'd work with the 8 speakers in the car already (most Aftermarket units include output for 4 speakers, not 8, would that necessatate an amp, or just a harness adapter with spliting the signal?)
