98 S70 Dashboard Removal S70

vlad,

There are thirteen torx screws. On LH drive cars as follows:

-two behind the LH air vent
-two behind the CTR air vent
-one behind the RH air vent
-one under each dash speaker grille
-one behind each side defroster vent
-two above the front edge of the glove box
-two above of the instrument cluster

The speaker grilles lift up from the front edge using a small screwdriver. The air vents are pried out carefully with a small screwdriver , the side defroster vents pry out and the glove box is removed by taking out the six torx screws.

YOU MUST DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FOR TEN (10) MINUTES before doing this work. To fully release the dash top you must disconnect the wiring plug from the passenger side airbag.

You can be seriously injured if the airbag goes off unexpectedly. After reconnecting the airbag module, Haynes recommends that you set the ignition switch to ON and connect the battery when outside the car just in case.

Good luck,

Bryan
