'97 855 AWD 5-speed. Any good??? V70-XC70

Aw, man. Don't be scared of a V90 for that reason! It's 95% 965! Most parts you could get from Volvo, some are most likely the same as the 700/940 and any other parts you could probably find on the net or from a Volvo parts guy. My Volvo mechanic told me one day that he had a customer who had a lovely V90. Guy lives near me. It's a '97. Anyway, my mechanic worked on it several times and I saw it a couple times, it said V90 on the tailgate. Anyway, one late afternoon the guy dropped in to my mechanic's shop while I was there. I was looking all over this V90 (it's MINT) and I opened one of the doors. To my surprise the foot plate said "960"!!! I yanked my mechanic over and said "What's going on?!?". He looked at the "960" with a puzzled face. The owner of the car smiled and said "Oh, I had the badge on the back changed from 960 to V90 a little while after I bought it." HA! We couldn't even tell the difference. I believe there's only a few differences (late 960 vs. V90) like the seats, the center console and a few other little things. Email me if you want to talk about that V90! It is a lovely car! I'd love to own it. I wish mom wanted it more :(
