Engine Number for O2 Sensor 850 1993

I need to purchase a new O2 sensor for my 850. It is a four wire sensor on and early production 1993. (delivered December 1992) In searching the internet for parts, I have been told that the engine serial number is needed to determine the correct part number. What is the easiest way to determine which sensor to order?

The car does not have an EGR system, nor does it appear to have dual sensors before and after the converter. I thought the panel on the fender in the engine bay would tell me the engine serial number, but it does not appear to have that number on it. Only the VIN number with the chassis number.
