doug,
This may be your problem...is it cold right now where you live? Does the problem seem worse when the car has sat in the cold and first driven...then the problem goes away when the car heats up? If you answered yes to both questions then the steering knuckle (u-joint) needs freeing up with penetration oil then greased. It is difficult to get to from above, on a hoist and from the bottom is the easiest. If the u-joint needs replacing (not common on 850s) the it's a major labor demand requiring the lowering of the front frame unit to access the joint. If you answered no to my previous questions then I have just wasted my time!
