How long do these puppies last? 850

I have an '86 740 GLE with 144,000 miles, but I have been looking for a newer FWD Volvo to play around with.
My question is, how many miles can the average 850 go? Can you put as many miles on a well maintained 850 that you can a well maintained 740?
I'm looking specifically at a '94 or '95 850, how is the overall reliability?

Any input is appreciated...
