850 dashboard coming loose 850

The padded dashboard on my 850 has come loose from the hard surface behind it, just above the glove compartment.
Does anyone know if it is safe for me to glue it back in place or am I going to affect correct operation of the passenger airbag which would deploy from somewhere about there.
