Continuing 850 oil leak problems! 850 1995

Right after you shut the car off after being driven, look under and see where the majority of the dripping is occuring. (i.e. the most frequent drips) This should lead to the proximity of the leak. There are so many places oil can leak from that if you can pinpoint an area of the engine, it will become more apparent where the leak is coming from.

If the top of your engine is wet, it's probably a valve cover gasket.

If only the passenger side of the bottom half of the engine is wet, it's probably one of the cooling lines going to the radiator.

If it is leaking from where the transmission is mounted to your engine (drivers side) it's probably your rear main seal. This is the most common oil problem on 850's and rather costly as well.
