Airpump 850 1996

I'm not so sure about failing emission testing. If the car is warm and they just sample exhaust the car will pass the test as long as the CEL is reset just before the test. I think that ECU tries to start the pump two to three times before setting CEL but if the car is warm it will not even do that. If they scan OBD2 for emission test it may be more difficult as the car will not be "ready" as the drive cycle will not be completed. However, there was a post few weeks ago claiming that state inpection let the car pass without the drive cycle completed stating that Volvo drive cycle is somewhat finicky.
