Noisy Power Steering Pump V70-XC70 1999

No, I have not been able to determine the cause of the power steering noise. I tried changing the fluid to synthetic transmission fluid thinking that the problem could be related to the increased fluid viscosity at low temperature. The noise only happens below about 30 degrees and it goes away completely after a few minutes of driving. I spoke to my local dealer to see if they had heard of similiar problems with other cars...no luck there. The pump works fine at all other times so I may just have to live with it unless something more serious develops. Please let me know if you find a cure somewhere else.
