CALIPER SPRING CLIP HELP S80

I recently was told that the installation of the spring clips on my 2000 S80 was incorrectly done, Volvo wouldn't touch it without replacing the aftermarket pads I put in.
Does anyone have a pictue of how the spring clip goes back in??

I changed my last set of pads due to the uneven wear. The pads wore in a manner that the outside of the pad was thicker than the inside, the second pad was exactly opposite. Not I believe this was due to the sticking of the pad in some way. The slide pins on the caliper seem fine. The pads however didn't slide well in the caliper at first, the ears of the pads seemed too large for the slot in the caliper (by a hair) I cleaned it a bit but now realized that the sticking may be the problem.

I need help to determine the cause of my woes, I would appreciate any and all help.
