Brake drag on 94 850 left front 850 1991

I just noticed the left front wheel of my '94 850 wagon (114K miles)has a brake "dragging". With the front end up of stands, there is a noticeable difference in the amount of drag(freedom of rotation) between the left and right sides. The right side has virtually none. Just a very slight amount, one can here it more so than feel it. The left side requires a bit of force the rotate the wheel. No enoungh to prevent it from turning, nor can it be felt when driving the car. The only indication of the drag is the excessive brake dust (as compared to the right.) After a drive you can also feel the difference by touching the wheel near the drive hub.

If I push the caliper piston back in slightly to provide clearance, the rotor turns freely. Applying the brake a time or two brings the darg back. I pushed the piston all the way in and installed new pads and rotors, (needed them anyhow), and hit the brakes again. Drag is this there. I wondered if there may be something in the ABS system that would cause the difference in residual pressure in the braking system. I check for faults in the on-board diagnostics. Nothing.

I thought I'd ask for advice on brickboard before dashing off to purchase a replacement caliper. Anyone have any advice.
