malfunction fuel door lock 850 1996

Hi All,

I just realized last night that my fuel door lock is not working. Unlike past message posters, the fuel door lock is malfunctioning in the oen position. Therefore, when I lock the entire car, the fuel door can still be opened. I have a couple of question regarding the lock mechanism:

1. What is the best way to fix the lock mechanism? Take it out and try to lubricate the lock bolt and see if it works? Replace the entire lock mechanism?

2. What are the steps to remove the trunk liner? How difficult is it?
