Should I buy an 850? 850 1996

I need some help on a buy. Its a 96' naturally aspirated I5, GLT. All power, leather, etc. It has 102,000 and I can probably get it for ~$6500. All signs show the car is in good shape. I have no prior experience with the 5cylinder or FWD. I've only had the 4 cylinders and RWD (240 and 745ti). Do the 5 cylinders have a similar life expectancy as the B230? How's the power? Any other well known problems? Any help is greatly appreciated.
