18x8?? Will tha twork at all 850

Jeremy- What size u have on in the pixs?? Now, I would not recommend 18x8 on our 850s they will work- with lots of problems!. I have on 17x8s(w/ 35 ET) and they rub at times in the front(not a big deal to me)on bumps and dips and full locks. The most problematic thing is full loads: If u carry 2-3full size people the rear tires will rub on most road surfaces. Unless you are driving on EVEN, SMOOTH roads, the slightest imperfection will result in groans and scrapes. NOTE: this is only with passengers all weighing above 120Lbs. For kids or others, it may not be a problem. I would suggest you get 17x7(or 18x7 if you must get 18s) and make sure the offset is at least 38 or more. I'm convinced Volvo made the suspension to fit 17x7.5 MAX on 850s. In the BTCC, i'm sure they changed the majority of the components to fit 18s or 19s. As for tires, I would go with sizes 215/45/17(i currently have this size). Again, unless you can tolerate harshness ALL the time(remember the chassis on our cars is already STIFF & if you have Bils or sport springs, fugetaboutit!)I won't get anything lower than 45 series(and these are fairly bad too). next tire change i'm getting HIGHER profile tires- 205/50/17(I intend to get a "softer" ride and less "rubbing" at the same time). good luck and let me know how it works out!
