1999 V70 AWD V70-XC70 1999

I am a little nervous, can anyone help?

Looking at a 1999 V70 AWD. 66000 miles. Standard engine. Very nice shape!!

Offered to me by a family member who works for a dealership for $12800 (His purchase price + $300). Purchased a car fax check on the vin # and it is as clean as it gets. Everything works on it. Has a little grinding noise coming from the brakes. (Dealership will check and repair) No other problems noticed.

Trading in a Jetta GLS as it is now too small for two teennage sons.

Please help is this a good decision!! Never owned a Volvo. Have heard good and bad things. Not sure what to do.
