Lights don't flash when Alarm is set S80

We have a 99 S80 since new. Last week, we noticed that the corner lights no longer flashed when we set the alarm.

We know the alarm is set because the alarm light flashs and the alarm does go off when I open the door. However, when I rolled down the window and set the alarm, the alarm did not work when I waved by arm inside the car. The alarm did go off when I opened the door.

This happened once before about a year ago right after we had the car at the dealer for the factory recall repair. They did not know why and after about 15 minutes and four people playing with the remote, the lights worked. They though the car just needed to sit a few minutes for the system to reset. It worked fine for over a year until last week.

Anyone had this problem fixed?
