I had a similar problem.Turned out to be a tube of lip-balm rolling back and forth in the heat tube that runs under the passenger seat. Try driving in reverse and stopping quickly to see if you can hear it roll toward the rear, then slide the seat to the front as far as possible and you should be able to reach into the tube and find the object (It helps to have small hands, my 8 yr old daughter helped me).
