Buzzing Noise Under Driver side Dash 850 1994

this may sound unbelievable but is your roof-rail peeling? if so, the peeled part or black tape-like material tends to flutter/vibrate furiously with the wind especially at 40+ mph. i was hearing a similar noise the first week i bought my 855. i thought it was something in the engine. so, before you open the dash, see if it is the roof rail. roll down the window and feel the rail along the A pillar and the top of the door. see if you feel the vibration.
