2 x 7 DIN chassis install 850

Hello, I went thru this recently to install a Pioneer in dash CD player. I purchased a Scosche DIN pocket and a wiring harness so that I could put the old Stereo back when I sell the car.

The part numbers I used were:

Scosche 1992-up Volvo Replacement Pocket - V02158B
Scosche 2000-up Volvo Harness VO04B (I replaced a SC-816 on a 1993 850, the wiring harness they had in their conversion book was incorrect).

I bought this stuff from a local car stereo shop.

This was a very easy install. If I had to do another it would take 5 minutes to take out the old and install the new head unit (after soldering the conversion harness to the new head unit harness).

If I had known how easy this was and how readily available the parts were I would have done this a long time ago. Now I have a CD player and much better sound.

Good Luck!
