Cigarette Lighter in Center Console pushed through V70-XC70 1998

James:

Thanks for the input. I was able to take the cointray out on the front end and get under the lighter unit. I do believe, however, that I cracked/broke the actual center console plastic. I cannot get the metal portion of the lighter to lock into the plastic and I believe that a portion of the plastic cylinder (of the console) is missing. I will look during daylight to see if it is lying inside.

Does anyone know at what position the little notch in the metal cylinder of the lighter should be? Maybe that would help it lock into place. As of now, I have the adapter plugged in, but it has fallen into the center console somewhat. Also, I discovered that the bulb in the driver's heated seat button is burnt out. Any ideas on how difficult that is to change out? I wouldn't think it would be too difficult with the cointray removed.

James, I didn't find any dirt or inkpens, only some pennies that slipped through.

Chuck
