Suggestions on replacement speakers... 850 1994

Hello:

I recently installed the alpine 6-cd changer and have since been enjoying good music. I have noticed, however, that the factory speakers in my wagon can't seem to handle a modest increase in the volume (too much vibration and distortion at high bass). Any suggestions on replacement speakers with decent performance yet reasonable price? Also what are the sizes of the speakers in the dash, the doors and the rear column? Will I have to modify wiring harness/terminals to fit these off-the-shelf replacement speakers?
