routing power to amp in trunk 850

My son got a sub box and amp that we are going to install in the trunk of his 850. How do I run 4 gauge wire from the battery to the trunk? Does it go under the car, or through the cabin, or what? Where would it go through the firewall?

Thanks for the help, it seems so simple but I just don't see it.
