experiences with the 1999 V70R V70-XC70

The 850-SVC70 FWD and AWD Volvos are completely different animals from the old 240.

Consumer Reports says to "avoid" the AWD Volvos as used cars.

Suggest you go to the library and borrow last year's April "Annual Auto Issue" of Consumer Reports, or wait a few weeks until the April, 2003 issue shows up on your newsstand. Best $3.95 you can possibly invest in a new car.

The enthusiast car mags usually live with 'em for a few weeks or maybe a year max, when they're still under warranty and still smell new.
