Few Problems S70

I had the same steering column noise and fixed it with a bit of
grease applied to the rubber part that surrounds the steering wheel
shaft at the firewall. To get a better idea if that is the problem:

1. Start the car.
2. Open the driver door and knell outside the car with head down by
the pedals.
3. Turn the steering wheel a bit and listen for the noise.

If the noise is from the location where the column passes through the
firewall you will easily hear it with your ear down by the pedals.
