Shuddering 850R 850 1996

Whenever I apply my brakes even moderately hard the car starts violently shuddering. I thought it must be the front brakes as the dealer had told me that they were past their best on the last service, I therefore ordered and have had fitted new rotors (brembo) and new pads (PBR) on the front and the car still shudders. Both the rotors and the pads look fine on the rear. Anyone got any bright ideas.
