turn signal/flashers lock up 850 1995

I replaced my emergency flasher module a little over a year ago. Now I have an intermittent problem with turn signals "freezing" in the on position when activated. The same can happen with the emergency flashers too. After some time, everything works as usual. Is this indicative of another required replacement of the module or is there something else in the equation that needs replacing?
