Squeaking Noise coming from turn signal 850 1996

I hope someone will have an answer to a problem that has been causing me a problem on my 1996 850 GLT Wagon. Recently, when ever I turn on the turning signal, and it doesn't matter if it is right or left, I frequently hear a "squeaking" noise that is coming from the dashboard, that sound like a metal hinge on a door in desperate need of oil. I can hear this noise with the car standing still. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you get rid of this. Thanks for your help. Hugh
