Questions about Engine name 850

This page has some helpful info:

http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/850plates.htm

As I recall, the Turbo model became the T5 when the low pressure
turbo engine was introduced in the GLT in 97. In most
cases, when Turbo or T5 is used they both mean the same thing.

The 850 engines are sometimes called "white engines" for the
color of the block (I guess older ones were red or orange).

The 5 cylinder is also an in-line engine (not a V).
