AARRGGHH!!! - Transmission problem 850 1995

I had similar experience several years ago. While driving at 3x mph, transmission started to "clunk" into gears by itself. My foot was still holding steady on the gas pedal, no acceleration at all. It felt like that transmission ECU was confused and didn't know which gears to engage. After a lot of troubleshooting with the dealer's tech (including transmission replacement), it turned out to be the TP sensor (throttle position sensor/switch). It is located next to the throttle body.

Hope this may help.
