the car indeed does have a fault code stored and that is why it blinks, to remind you. The climate control goes into a preset mode so that it will somewhat function and this makes it do odd things sometimes. You need to pull the codes and make the repairs and clear them. Most likely the ambient temp fans on the roof by the pull handles in front are bad. good luck
