tick tick tick getting louder with surging Update 850 1993

Checked it all out - ticking is definately from the injector rail - not the engine head (used old school screwdriver stethascope).

BUT found two vacuum lines that were not plugged in. The two black ones coming from the evaporator cannister. They plug in under the throttle body. . . might they have been the problem?

I'll see about checking the oil pressure . . . although last time I took the filler cap off when it was running (hey I was checkin oil spash cold and then warm) there definately was oil squirting onto the lobes.
