help with the S-70 again S70 1998

used mt air for first time this spring...guess what? ..not cold..bought the car last summer, and air was just cool then not ice cold...what are the symptoms of a bad evaporator..just this, meaning warm air....is it worth giving a charge of freon. Also unrelated, at times I am unable to shift out of park....it is like my foot is not on the brake....I shut off engine start all over and I'm OK. Any advise? Finally, my volvo has 136,000 miles, ran a bit rough when I bought it, so I changed the spark plugs, distributer cap, rotor, air and fuel filter and cleaned the very dirty throttle body. I run premium fuel, but still get an occasional sputter at all speeds. The last thing I can think of is wires....help is appreciated.
