Spark Plugs. Pull Connector from Coil Pak Or Not?

Doing my first spark plugs very soon.

I have read here that there are 2 schools of thought when
removing coil pak boot.

1- Pull Connector from each Coil Pak then pop up individually [ ala Haynes ]

Or

2- Lift all coil paks simultaniuosly like Christmas lights?

Reason for asking is that I'm pretty sure my wire loom is brittle
and do not want pieces falling into plugs chambers.

What's the consensus?

I called Brentwood about the brittle wire loom problem. My salesperson JT
asked a tech and he said they replace the loom after each spark plug change.
I called my local autoparts store and they sell the loom. I measured 5/8"
under the hood.
