Remote Entry on 2000 S80 S80

First I had random lock and unlock sequences when usin remote entry; all doors but drivers would lock but not driver, then driver would lock and needed a second click to lock all others. Now all others are locking and the drivers side refuses to lock but I can hear the mechanizism in the door trying to pull the latch down. Finally the drivers side door will only work with the key.
Any ideas?
