cant clear codes still 850 1995

You will need to reset the codes in EACH of the diagnostic connector locations you found error codes stored in. Typically this will be the A2 location. First access and read the codes like you did the first time. After you have finished reading the codes in that location (for example - position A2) do the following: (1) hold the programing button down for about 6 to 7 seconds then release (the red LED flashes); (2) hold the botton down a second time for 6 to 7 seconds (red LED again acknowledges). After doing this procedure, try to read the codes again (they should be gone). I like to go back and do the 4-1-5-1 reset for a final step. Remember, if you start the engine and get another warning light it means you probably have a problem you didn't correct, and that could cost you plenty if you keep driving the car.

Hope this helps, I remember having the same problem before stumbling on the answer while looking for something else.
