Fuel Pump Relay 850

Here is what I was going buy, along with other posts saying the relay on occasion fails.>>>>>>>>>>

Hi ya,

I used to have a problem like this on my previous car. Next i have a MY94 with 189k miles which runs fine and just done some research for you.

1, Have you changed you Spark plug wires yet, including the king lead ?
2, Yes the coil could be the culprit but it may not as these are quite expensive $$$.
3, Clean up all connections up with emery cloth to make sure your grounds look good.
4, The fuel pump pump relay can cause stalling so if you are keeping the car might be with swapping out, i know another with 93's and had this problem.
5, The fuel pressure regulator could be at fault. Try and get this tested to ensure its not that.
6,Following on from this it might be worth getting the fuel pump out and checking to see if its working correctly.

On my old car i tinkered with and the dealer did to get it to pass its yearly test. I remember running the tank dry and that is when my problems started. I think i knackered the pump up in my case.

Mark in the UK.
