A/C control panel bad and odometer, please help! 850

Basically odometer has been bad bur rumors is sometimes it may be a wire or just plane broken odometer any place i can get one cheapr? parts and labor is $450 here local area and now my a/c is not working was blowing low not fast air took it to a shop thinking it was low refr. but then he messed around with control panel and doesn't even blow anything now he said its a bad control panel to either get a new one or try a find a junk yard he says thats the cause of the whole problem , any of you have expierence with this? seems like almost 1k damn once i fix this i'm selling it.
