fewer 850 problems after '94? 850

I have the April 2003 Consumer Report frequency of repair charts open in front of me. ALL years of the FWD 850-70 are rated "average" for reliability. The AWD versions are on the CR "Used Cars to Avoid" list.

Generally speaking, the newer the car, the fewer repairs it will generate. It doesn't matter if it's badged "850" or "70".

If you're worried about repairs you should buy a Camry or Avalon.
