transmission woes 850 1993

I have recently purchased a 1993 volvo 850 glt with 126,000 miles on it. While the car is beautiful now 2 months later I am having some trouble with the tranny. I have done some research and have found some opinions that the trans is a weak point on this car and after reading many of the posts on this page I have to agree.
The car was running fine up until now. Now it will bog down when leaving from a dead stop as though it does not have any power. It does this in all gear selector positions. The arrow on the dash does not come on nor is there is no check engine light. It hesitates at 1st and then seems to go right on through the other gears as it should. I don't think it is a PNP switch (I have ratchted
the selector many times with no success. Fluid levels are o.k. but I have not flushed it yet. Can it be the solenoids?) Has anyone else had any similar problems? I have not pulled any codes on it but since there is no light on the dash, will there be any?
