Seatback Cable....Any Quick Fixes? 850

I know that the question, "Why dosent my seat work?" has been asked a million times, but I want to know are there any quick fixes? I tried living with my seat the way it was, it wasnt reclined that much, but after sitting in the passenger seat and feeling what a Volvo seat is meant to feel like I need to fix mine too. Until I can either bring it in to fix the cable or get the stuff myself can i work it back up manually as I have heard some people say? Anything to sit normally. Thanks for any replies.
