2 Problems 850 1993

I've been pretty lucky with my '93 850 and have only experienced minor problems. The first one is I smell exhaust inside the car when I am stopped in traffic and have the REC off; however, I had my mechanic check and there is no leaks in the exhaust or the manifold, what could it be? The second, intermittently there is a little bit of smoke that comes out of the radiator, the car does not run hot and the cooland level is normal, I have no idea what it is but my mechanic says my radiator is beginning to fail. Thanks
