Upgrade Original Rear Speakers 850

I bought some Sony 6x9 speakers for the rear of my 1994 Volvo 850. After I took out the originals I noticed the new ones were too big. I want to keep the original look of the car and still upgrade my speakers. Does anybody know where I can get speakers that fit? Will 5x7 fit, I saw those at Circuit City.
