2 Problems 850 1994

There is a hard plastic hose that runs along the driver's side of the engine underneath the intake hoses, dist. cap, etc. It wraps around the engine and appears to go up under the intake. I don't know the specific name or purpose of it, probably just exhaust gas recirculation, but mine was broken in 2 places & someone tried to fix it w/hose clamps which worked themselves loose. When the exhaust smell inside got unbearable I took the broken pieces off and replaced them with flex hose and that fixed it. I don't know if non-turbos have this plastic hose or not. As for the coolant, I had a little smoke from under my hood accompanied by a small puddle under the car & it turned out to be the overflow cap.
