How long do you want it to last?

It will last as long as you want to continue to fix it. In Cuba they still drive US cars from the 1950s.

There are some unique problems with the AWD cars, do a search of the term "bevel gear" in the Brickboard archives. Consumer Report has the AWD Volvos on it's "Used Cars to Avoid" list.

I am also curious as to why the exhaust valves needed to be replaced. 85k is kinda early for opening up a Volvo motor.
